Patriots to play in London in 2009

Following in the footsteps of the San Diego Chargers and the New Orleans Saints this year, the New England Patriots will play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in London. The game will take place at Wembley Stadium, the same location as the game this year. Read more

Bruins Lose to Rangers in the Shootout

Dennis Wideman scored a shorthanded goal
Despite leading for the first two periods of the game, the Boston Bruins lost in the shootout 1-0 @ Madison Square Garden on Saturday Night, snapping their 5 game winning streak. With two important points on the line, the New York Rangers scored twice in the final frame to tie things up. Read more

CN8 to Stop Broadcasting in New England

CN8, the local inhouse channel of the Comcast network, will no longer be broadcasting in New England, effective in January. With college hockey becoming more and more visible, with Hockey East extending its contract with NESN, and the addition of CCHA games on the NHL Network, as well as ESPNU coverage, this is a little step in the wrong direction. Red Sox win 2007 World Series!!!!

They did it again! The Boston Red Sox have won the 2007 World Series! So much for that curse! It’s definitely not coming back now! Just an incredible series from end to end. Close games, blowouts, they persevered through it all. And an incredible reward to top it all off.
