BU Men Rise 1, Women Down 2
December 1, 2008 by Joe

Zach Cohen has helped spark the Terriers to #7
The Boston University Mens and Womens hockey teams both remained ranked this wee, with the men rising up one spot to #7, while the women fell 2 to #6 in the nation. The men rose based on the strength of their two victories over Holy Cross (recap) and St. Lawrence (Recap). The women, on the other hand, defeated Boston College but lost to Yale, and thus fell. Here’s the rest of the Men’s Poll:

Losses by Colorado College (to Air Force!) and Minnesota opened the way for Notre Dame to move to the top spot. Notre Dame defends their ranking against Ferris State this weekend. Two games at Ferris State should be a good challenge for the Irish, but it’s something I think they’ll pull off. Lots of movers and shakers in the poll this week. Meanwhile, back in Boston, it’s going to be #2 Boston College and #7 Boston University with a home and home. I’m really pumped for these games… already getting excited and they’re still 4 days away.
I’m anticipating a great matchup. BC has been hot lately, and BU always gets amped for these games, and played especially well against St. Lawrence. Muse will be tested this weekend for sure. Look for a game preview later on this week!
